Residents Protest Over World Bank Seed School
Residents of Ruhija Sub County in Rubanda district on Saturday stormed the Rubanda district headquarters demanding that the district leadership rescinds the decision to construct a Shs. 1.6 Billion seed secondary school in the neighboring Nyamweru Sub County.

These also expressed anger at their MP Eng. Denis Sabiti for neglecting them on this matter.
“We are citizens and we deserve the right to education. If our member of parliament is not with us, he’s against us and we will declare nonrepresentation,” they said.
According to Gerald Akambasa the Rubanda district speaker, during the last council session it was resolved unanimously that Nyamweru Sub County should be the first beneficiary of the World Bank funded seed school project.
