Museveni sacks Akol, appoints new URA boss

KAMPALA – President Yoweri Museveni has appointed John Musinguzi as the new Commissioner General of the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), dropping Doris Akol, the outgoing Commissioner General of the tax Authority.

Using his 1.3 million followed twitter handle,@ Kaguta Museveni, the President who is the appointing authority,  on Sunday tweeted that he had appointed John Musinguzi as the new Commissioner General URA, replacing Doris Akol.
