No injuries or fatalities were reported.

Fire has destroyed a boys’ dormitory at Child Care Nursery and Primary School in Buhara Sub-county, Kabale District, leaving property worth an estimated Shs30 million damaged.

The incident occurred on Monday night at around 9:00 p.m. in Karukoba Cell, Ntarabana Parish, according to police.

Kigezi Region Police spokesperson ASP Elly Mate said the fire was reported by the school Director,Innocent Mbeinemukama,prompting a swift response from the fire brigade.

“A fire tender led by SP Muhanguzi Moses and Sgt.Andrew Bikorwomuhangire responded to the scene and found the frames had engulfed the room on the third floor used as boys dormitory ” Maate said.

He added the fire was contained before it could spread to other parts of the building and near by structures.
