Gen. Tumukunde names top team to help win elections
On August 12, Tumukunde unveiled his agenda for the 2021 General Election and listed nine reforms he would pursue once he takes over power.

Lt. Gen. Henry Tumukunde, 2021 Presidential hopeful, has named his national executive committee that will coordinate his campaigns if he is nominated by the Electoral Commission under the Renewed Uganda Platform.
The new team will be headed by seasoned politician Omar Kalinge Nyago and Lucy Ajok, Deputized by Tororo North County Member of Parliament Annet Nyeketcho. Nyago previously served as Secretary-General of JEEMA and quit in 2015 to join The Independents Coalition where he served as spokesperson for then Independent candidate Joseph Mabirizi.
James Oromait and Kennedy Olum will attaches to the office of the candidate. Tumukunde appointed former Deputy Secretary General of the East African Community and former Member of Parliament for Kabarole District Beatrice Kiraso as his chief of staff, Counsel Hamada Mulumba as executive assistant to the chief of staff and Arthur Mwenkwanya as spokesperson.
City lawyer Alex Luganda is the deputy chief of staff of the Renewed Uganda Platform, while David Lukwago will serve as head of the strategic team.
Andrew Arach has been appointed as the national political coordinator deputized by Shafiq Ddembe. Judith Ananga is the head of the women’s desk deputized by Hajjati Sumaya Nakitende.
Sheila Obiya is the new head female youth representative while William Bwebale is the male youth representative. Other members of the 40 under 40 youth team include Ismail Muzamilu, Jackson Mwesigwa, Tom Otut.
Prof. Isaac Newton Ojok will be the head of strategy and he will be deputized by Charles Yukani while the head of external relations will be Dr. Henry Ssali, while Maurice Ogili will serve as diaspora relations.
