Security on Tuesday morning drove Forum for Democratic Change Presidential aspirant Patrick Amuriat Oboi, to Kyambogo, where he was due for nomination following his arrest at the party headquarters.
Amuriat was driven to the nomination centre in a private saloon car without shoes as he accused the Police of torturing him while on the road.
Amuriat was arrested following a stand-off at the party headquarters in Najanankumbi after the Police accused him of trying to organise a procession to the nomination centre.
The FDC flagbearer had vowed not to honour the Police directives issued to all presidential aspirants.
Security intercepted Amuriat and whisked him away and later dumped him at Kyambogo.
He is scheduled to be nominated at 12:00 am today and it’s not clear how those seconding him will follow him up to Kyambogo.
