Kabale Businessman Arrested with Stolen Goats

KABALE: Police in Kabale District have apprehended a businessman found with stolen goats in the Northern Division of Kabale Municipality.

The individual in question has been identified as Bashabomwe Kenneth, aged 32, a resident of Nyakahanga cell, Bugongi ward, Northern division in Kabale Municipality.

Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police spokesperson, reported that on April 18, 2024, at 10:00 AM, Bashabomwe Kenneth was discovered with stolen goats at his residence in Nyakahanga cell, Northern Division, Kabale Municipality.

According to Maate, ASP Akanyijuka Andrew, the OC Station Kabale, received a tip-off from Mugume Francis on April 18, 2024, indicating that the aforementioned individual possessed suspected stolen goats at his residence.

The stolen goats are currently being held at Kabale police station as efforts are underway to identify their rightful owners and the suspect remains in police custody.

Maate urged anyone missing goats to report to the police station for identification and retrieval.
