Bishop Mbitse Condemns Rampant Corruption among Civil Servants

KISORO: The Bishop of Muhabura Diocese, the Rt Rev Godfrey Mbitse has vehemently condemned the escalating prevalence of corruption, particularly among civil servants.

Bishop Mbitse, in no uncertain terms, defined corruption as bribery, highlighting the unfortunate reality that many Ugandans are unable to access essential services from certain offices without succumbing to bribery. Addressing the media on the occasion of his first anniversary as the third Bishop of the Muhabura Diocese yesterday, Bishop Mbitse urged Ugandans to shun corruption, emphasizing that it is antithetical to the principles of righteousness and would not lead anyone to heavenly grace.
